Welcome to Monroe Elementary School,
Monroe Elementary School is located on Route 174 just three miles east of historic Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. Monroe is one of eight elementary schools in the Cumberland Valley School District; which also includes one high school and two middle schools. Monroe students funnel into Eagle View Middle School which sits on the district campus. Cumberland Valley encompasses four townships over one hundred and five square miles in Cumberland County, in Central Pennsylvania.
Monroe Elementary houses over 500 students in grades K through 5. Monroe’s dedicated, hard-working professionals strive to provide an outstanding educational experience for every student. As a staff, we work with the students to help them develop respect for others, respect for our school, and respect for themselves. We hope to nurture the entire child and guide them on their journey of life-long learning.
Our school population encompasses a broad spectrum, which has given our students the wonderful opportunity to learn from the great wealth of experiences we all share. We are a small school with a big heart. Our parents’ organization is very active and provides excellent support to the staff and children.
Monroe Elementary and its PTO sponsored many great events, the popular Club Tuesday (after school clubs), the spring fair and the Walk for Monroe. Traditional events such as Knowledge-A-Thon, student talent show, staff vs. 5th-grade kickball game, and the Holiday food drive and Giving Tree are still going strong.
It is rewarding to see how everyone (students, teachers, parents, grandparents, and school volunteers) work together to make great things happen at Monroe. I thank everyone for your continued support in making Monroe a GREAT school.
