💙 CHAMPIONS OF HOPE: Today is Children’s Grief Awareness Day, a day to recognize and support children navigating the loss of a loved one. People everywhere are wearing blue as a symbol of hope and solidarity for grieving children and their families.

Earlier this year, Bernadette Assad and Emma Govedari represented Eagle View Middle School at the 2025 Caring Team for Grieving Students Summit, hosted by the Caring Place. As Champions of Hope, their efforts helped shape Children’s Grief Awareness Day, honoring the everyday heroes who provide comfort, understanding, and a listening ear.

🥰 KINDNESS ON DISPLAY: In celebration of #WorldKindnessDay on Thursday, November 13, students in Ms. Renshaw's class at Sporting Hill Elementary School created heartfelt notes for their Kindness Day bulletin board.

These notes are displayed in the hallway for anyone to take when they need a boost. This activity helped students reflect on what kindness means and how we can share it with one another every single day. 💌

🎃 PUMPKIN SCIENCE: Last week, Hampden Elementary School's 4th graders explored the science behind pumpkins! Working in small groups with the help of parent volunteers, students investigated questions like: Do pumpkins float or sink? How big is their “equator”? How many seeds are inside?

After collecting and recording their data, each class compared results and discussed what they learned. This hands-on experiment is a favorite Hampden tradition, combining teamwork, curiosity, and lots of fun. 😎
