🥫 THAT'S 2 MILES OF POP TABS // Throughout the year, we shared the story of Miss Millie Eckerd and team's efforts to collect pop tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA. We're #CVproud to share that, collectively, our school community has donated more than 75 pounds - or 126,720 - tabs! Thank you to everyone who donated. Special shoutout to Mountain View Middle School for collecting and contributing more than 15 pounds of tabs during the last several months. WOW! The Ronald McDonald House helps families of children receiving essential, lifesaving medical care through Hershey. Still have tabs that you want to donate to the cause? You can drop them off with Millie Eckerd at CV High School on or before August 1st for the 23-24 donation or you can save them for the project next school year. While you are having a little fun this summer, consider saving those pop tabs (from soup cans, soda, energy drinks, etc., size of the tab does not matter).

🎨 BEAUTIFY THE BARRIERS // Our 5th grade Gators at Green Ridge Elementary School have been working collaboratively on painting a mural to be installed at the Simpson Library as part of their Beautify the Barriers project. This year's theme for the library's Summer Learning Program is "Adventure Begins at Your Library." As such, the mural design depicts two readers in a blanket fort getting lost in the story as it starts to come to life around them. Please show our artistic Gators some ❤️ for their amazing talent! You can find growth opportunities around every corner at Cumberland Valley High School. 🧗‍♂️ Check out this climbing wall, recently tackled by Eagles in Mr. Josh Mueller's Adventure Education class. Mr. Mueller explained, "Students were able to use a climbing wall as a visual to set a goal and identify their comfort zone. They then challenged themselves to climb just a bit outside of that comfort zone to develop both a sense of accomplishment and confidence for future experiences. " 📸 courtesy Mr. Mueller, Health and PE teacher. #PortraitOfAnEagle #CVproud #EaglesAreConfident #EaglesAreResponsible
