🎣 HOOKED ON LEARNING: Last week’s Environmental Ed Day allowed Middlesex Elementary School fifth graders to learn through hands-on outdoor experiences. Students went fishing, created terrariums, dissected owl pellets, and learned all about bees. 🦉🌱

This special day gave our Eagles the chance to explore, learn, and connect with nature firsthand. 🦅

🫶 A SEASON OF TEAMWORK: Cheers, high-fives, and plenty of teamwork filled the court this spring as EV and MV students took part in intramural Unified Bocce through Special Olympics Unified Sports®.

The fully inclusive program brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete, connect, and grow as teammates, creating friendships and memories that last far beyond the season. ❤

With support from coaches Jon Sauve, Taryn Hennessey, and Brianna Daries, along with dedicated teachers and educational assistants, students wrapped up the season last week with a fun and spirited competition at MV as families cheered them on.

We are #CVProud of our student-athletes for showing outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication all season long! 🦅

🎬 BUILDINGS WITH BLANCHARD: We recently visited Shaull Elementary School to see what was brewing during Teacher Appreciation Week! ☕

Students in Mr. Barrick’s Helpful 2 Others (H2O) Club turned Teacher Appreciation Week into a campus-wide coffeehouse, serving up smiles one carefully crafted cup at a time. Acting as “baristas with a purpose,” students visited teachers across the building to express gratitude, introduce themselves with confidence, and guide staff through personalized coffee and snack orders, asking thoughtful questions, remembering preferences, and ensuring each drink matched the moment.

Superintendent Blanchard joined the H2O crew, stepping into the role of “assistant barista” as he worked alongside students to craft and deliver orders, helping highlight the learning and connection happening throughout the building. 🫶

🎬 BUILDINGS WITH BLANCHARD: Yesterday, we visited Eagle View Middle School's 7th-grade FCS class for a delicious breakfast lab. 🍳

Students in Ms. Morret’s class tested their breakfast-making skills by preparing a “Jiffy Breakfast” (egg in a mug) in the microwave while learning kitchen safety and sanitation. They demonstrated key POE skills, including communication and collaboration, as well as responsibility through the safe handling of ingredients, proper use of equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Superintendent Blanchard joined the class and cooked alongside students, making his own Jiffy Breakfast. The class wrapped up by enjoying breakfast together and reflecting on the cooking process.
