Former Cumberland Valley High School standout Kaden Schoenly has taken his first steps onto the Division I stage this season, beginning his collegiate career with the University of Louisville baseball program and turning a local success story into one that now stretches well beyond Mechanicsburg.

Louisville baseball is off to a solid start with a record of 7-4 with the majority of the season yet to play. For Schoenly his favorite moment so far was their walk off win against central Michigan at home. With an upcoming game against Morehead State Louisville looks to carry that momentum with them.

“I really like how we have access to our hitting facility 24/7,” Shoenly said.

State of the art facilities and an elite team environment are what Shoenly believes will play a key role in him and his teammates development. Unfortunately Shoenly recently suffered a shoulder injury that will cause him to miss some time. Schoenly now will put the elite facilities to use to maximize his recovery and get back to play.

“I look forward to getting healthier and being able to help the team win,” Schoenly said.

When he gets back he will be thrown into the competition to get at bats. Shoenly is committed to getting back better than ever to help Louisville make a push in the College World Series.
