After turning heads on Cumberland Valley’s soccer field, Nico Paz is taking his next big step, playing at Stevenson University and competing at the collegiate level.

Stevenson’s soccer team has had a successful year with 11 wins though 20 games. Paz has proven to be an asset to the team by playing in 12 out of these 20 games and logging over 200 minutes.

“The hardest transition going from high school to college is the physical demand on your body. Every single day you have to come ready.” Paz said.

Paz enjoys the family environment and is proud of how far the team has come over the course of the season.

“It is very connected and intertwined and definitely feels like a family.” Paz said.

Paz's favorite memory so far was scoring his first collegiate goal against Gallaudet University in a 9-0 victory. Paz looks forward to continuing to get better and develop.

Stevenson faced the Division III powerhouse Messiah University in the MAC Commonwealth Championship on November 8th away at Shoemaker Field. Despite the teams efforts they were defeated by a score of 2-0 concluding a phenomenal turn-around season after only pulling off 3 wins in 2024.
