Expectations were high coming into the 2025 season for Cumberland Valley’s boys soccer team after winning states in 2024.
The team needed just one more win against Mechanicsburg to make the playoffs, but came just short with a loss of 1-0.
There were highs and lows throughout the season, but the team still had a chance to make a run in the playoffs. “I’m proud that even when our chances of making something out of the year were low we were able to put ourselves in a position to make playoffs on the final day even though we fell short,” said captain and Bucknell commit Chayse Snyder.
After a low time during the season, it can make it hard for a team to remain positive and continue to fight in every game. “We just had to forget about the past and just focus on what we will do throughout the rest of the season,” said Snyder.
Being on varsity all four years of high school, and committing to a division one school, Chayse Snyder believes he left a lasting impact for the next few years for boys soccer.
“I talked to some younger guys after the game and based on our conversation and the time I’ve spent with them, the program is left in good hands. I hope that we showed them what it meant to play for Cumberland Valley. The discipline, passion, and attitude it takes,” Snyder said.
