Access to Opportunity
One of the ways the Access to Opportunity committee benefits students is by providing funding to take students on visits to local colleges and universities. This gives students insight to the college experience in a way that they may might not have had. In addition, the Eagle Foundation helps families in need by providing housewares items, personal hygiene products, cleaning products and clothing items.
Buddy Mentoring Program
Each summer, middle school students are invited to participate in the Buddy Mentoring Program. Students are paired with "Bigs" and experience growth together through outdoor activities, communication building and teamwork activities. This program has been described as life-changing!
Summer Reading Booster Program
Elementary students are identified by teachers and invited to participate in a two-week reading summer session at no charge. The program is designed to provide summertime reading practice, build confidence in their skills, and give students tools to go into the new school year with an improved outlook on reading.
