Phase I (Silver Spring to Monroe)
When:
Phase I is scheduled to be implemented beginning in 2017-2018*.
Why:
To address an immediate need – continued increasing enrollment at Silver Spring Elementary School.
Families impacted by the Phase I redistribution plan will be contacted directly and in separate communication.
* Feedback was received from parents asking the district to consider allowing children to voluntarily transition a year prior, in 2016. Given that a multi-million dollar renovation was completed last summer and that space currently exists at Monroe, district administration evaluated, and is able to accommodate, this request.
